Privacy Policy

The short version: ditdah is a static tool site with no sign-ups and no tracking. We collect nothing about you — everything runs in your browser.

Last updated: October 16, 2026

1. What we collect: nothing

ditdah has no accounts, no sign-ups, no newsletter, no comments, and no contact forms that send data to a server. We do not ask for your name, email, or any other personal information to use the morse code translator or any tool on this site. Because of that, we have nothing to store, sell, share, or leak.

2. Everything runs in your browser

This site is fully static. When you translate text, decode audio, or play sounds, all of it happens on your own device in your browser's memory. Nothing you type, upload, or generate is sent to our servers — there is no backend receiving it. Once you close the tab, it is gone.

3. localStorage preferences (your device only)

To remember simple preferences — like your dark/light theme choice, volume, playback speed, and sound style — the site may save small settings in your browser's localStorage. These values never leave your device and are never sent to us. You can delete them at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

4. No analytics, no cookies, no ads

We do not run analytics, tracking pixels, advertising networks, or third-party behavioral cookies. Your visits are not fingerprinted, profiled, or recorded by us.

5. One third party: fonts

Pages load fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com). When your browser fetches a font file, Google receives the standard technical details of that request (your IP address and browser type), as it would for any website using hosted fonts. We have no agreement with Google beyond their standard service; you can block font requests and the site will fall back to system fonts.

6. Server logs (not in our control)

Like every website, ditdah is served by a web host (currently Hostinger). Hosts routinely keep short-term server logs of requests — such as IP address, page requested, and time — for security and operations. We do not access, combine, or use these logs, and we cannot delete them for you; they expire per the host's own retention policy.

7. Emailing us

If you write to us at hello@morsecodetranslatorai.com, we receive your email address and message so we can reply. We use it only for that conversation — we do not add it to any list, share it, or use it for marketing. Emails we no longer need are deleted.

8. Children

ditdah is a general-audience learning site (including a kids page) and is safe for children to use precisely because we collect no personal information from anyone, of any age.

9. Changes to this policy

If we ever add something that changes this policy — for example analytics, accounts, or ads — we will update this page and change the "last updated" date above. Since we hold no contact details, checking this page is the way to see the current version.

10. Contact
